Meeting the region’s long-term infrastructure needs will rely on continued investment in innovation, skills and new ways of delivering infrastructure. Universities, colleges and research organisations all play an important role in building the skills and capability needed across the sector.

But interest and aptitude start in the classroom. Alongside government and academic partners, the infrastructure sector must not only seek to develop today’s technologies and skills, but also invest in the workforce of tomorrow – ensuring we have the capacity and capabilities to develop infrastructure fit for the 22^nd Century. SWIP showcases collaboration between industry, academia, local government, schools and training providers to build capability across the sector, now and in the future.
